Candidates on the primary ballot for Ward 5 Council, At-Large Council, Council Chair, Mayor and Attorney General are invited to join Brentwood residents and environmental justice supporters from throughout DC for a unique pre-election event. This will not be a debate – but rather a speak out, a chance for candidates to give a short speech highlighting what they will do to advance environmental justice for communities like Brentwood citywide, if elected. After the speak out, candidates are invited to interact one-on-one with voters in attendance and to tour the 1200 block of W St, NE, a hotspot of industrial pollution and environmental injustice.
