Join Empower DC, Free DC, and Harriet's Wildest Dreams to march on May Day! We'll meet at noon outside the African American History and Cultural Museum to rally and then lead the march past the white house.

On Friday, May 1, 2026, DC refuses to cooperate: No work. No school. No shopping. Get ready, get organized, and join the day of action. Together we’ll make it clear that DC’s workers, our communities, and our political power are worth fighting for — and anyone who comes for those will have to come through us.

May 1st, 5.1 is also DC Statehood Day ❤️🤍. It will be a full day of action and awareness. Washington DC residents and allies will lift our voices in unison to tell the country about the importance of statehood for the District of Columbia.
